INSTRUCTIONS:  NOTE: The default values in the above boxes will be used in the output code if you do not change them! Note that the default for all rights is "no"; that's because the rights to your intellectual property belong solely to you and you have to consciously decide to grant them to others.

  1. Check / clear the option boxes as desired.
  2. Click on the "Generate" button to generate the HTML source code and Plain Text output for the Rights Statement or click on the "Clear" button to clear the form and start over. Your code will appear in the output windows (below the input form).
  3. Click on the "Select All" button below each output window to select all text in that window.
  4. Copy the resulting text into your favorite text editor, save it to your local hard disk drive with the desired file name and proper file extension (.txt and/or .html), and use it where appropriate to clearly state the rights you are granting for your intellectual property.
  5. Make some money (optional, but highly recommended...).

You can also use that link to pass along any recommendations / suggestions you'd like to see incorporated into this script, as well as any other mini-scripts like this that you'd like to see (no promises, but my ears are open...).
